THMB is a physically-based distributed hydrologic model. It models river discharge at any point of the basin using morphologic parameters of the river channel1. THMB also simulates water area and height on floodplains. It’s based on a linear reservoir concept. This version2 was designed to take advantage of the Dinamica EGO graphic interface and thus it is suitable for those who are not well familiarized with programming languages. In addition, the Dinamica EGO version comes with a wizard tutorial to help learn and operate THMB. THMB uses outputs from “dynamic vegetation models”. These models are responsible for calculating the “vertical water balance” in each raster cell.
